INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

Written with You in Mind

There’s nothing worse than being at a business with a closed-door policy, where you and your colleagues feel that you have been left in the dark, with no idea of what’s going on. It breeds discontent, disharmony and worry.

Internal communications have become an ever more effective and vital way of engaging a workforce. They allow key messages and business information to be communicated to the entire workforce and are an integral part of an organisation’s success.

Excellent and regular internal comms allow employees to feel engaged and clued in to what’s happening in the wider organisation and are a way for the business to communicate key messages – whether current targets, new products or incentives – or perhaps to encourage and reinforce a company’s culture.

Engaged and happier employees make for a more productive and profitable workforce, resulting in higher staff retention.

Internal comms are a key asset to share information across a business. They can share wisdom, whether that’s best practice and innovations to implement on a wider scale or lessons learned where something has gone wrong and how to avoid it being repeated.

However, should the worst happen, such as the outbreak of COVID-19, internal comms comes into its own as a fast and effective way to share information with your team, calming and reassuring at times of concern or crisis.
