Building a better future with LEB Construction

Ashdown Media is delighted to be working with LEB Construction Limited to provide an array of content, public relations and marketing services

Ashdown Media was appointed by LEB Construction Limited in the summer of 2022 to provide a range of ongoing content, public relations and marketing services.

With Ashdown’s wide array of services on offer, we undertook an initial review of LEB’s current communications strategy, social media and public profiles, offering their expert thoughts and proposals on how to move the firm forward.

The main aims were to showcase LEB’s abilities to the market place and to continue to attract the highest-calibre employees.

Ashdown would provide that bridge between the teams on the ground and those prospective new clients and employees, with LEB’s Managing Director seeing Ashdown’s strong construction industry experience and knowledge as the basis for the perfect partnership.

This construction knowledge means that Ashdown can present communications in the right way to the right audience, whether in layman’s terms or on a technical basis. It’s the terminology from the sites, the detail or nitty gritty of the construction process, that Ashdown can accurately communicate to LEB’s target audience by understanding and translating technical information.

LEB is a well-established construction firm based in Aberystwyth, Wales, and boasts an impressive track record of successfully completed projects. As the firm grows, going from strength to strength, it continues to win impressive new and ever-larger projects.

Ashdown hit the ground running with the campaign for LEB’s largest contract to date: new the £2.1m extension and renovation of the Cardigan Primary School. With initial works focusing on a press release, this was followed by a fully detailed article for the firm’s website and LinkedIn page. An interview with LEB’s founder and MD Luke Baker and a deep dive into tender documents and planning information provided the background and basis for the written content.

Ashdown then took aim on the Lampeter project, where LEB is undertaking the transformation of an existing leisure centre into a wellbeing centre. This is potentially the first of many projects, as it’s the brainchild of the council’s CEO and will offer wider services and support to the local communities.

Both of these projects, Cardigan and Lampeter, will now be tracked and reported on monthly, with updates from the Contracts and Site Managers to understand the latest works undertaken and what’s planned next, providing the local communities with an insight into the progress on these exciting projects.

As well as new projects, we will also be reporting on completed projects, such as the Llandysul Fire Station, which, having suffered from flooding, was transformed with the addition of a second storey to ensure that the fire crews had a dry and safe environment to work from and rest in.

Going forward, we are excited to provide project and staff profiles along with social media strategies.

Our Founder, Matthew Griffiths, said: “It’s an honour to be working with LEB. It is a progressive construction firm that is really on the front foot. Luke has already demonstrated his ability to deliver complex projects and has rightly been awarded bigger new projects. We are delighted to be able to showcase these project awards and positives, along with the extensive community improvement works that the majority of their projects deliver.

“We have already worked with and interviewed many of LEB’s teams, from the MD to Site Managers, to get an insight into their projects and provide the latest construction news for each scheme. Despite busy days and high workloads, we have been impressed with the attitude and commitment of the staff to make the time for us and input into these projects.

LEB has a great team and business ethos; we will help show the great work that the firm is engaging in as they go from strength to strength.”
